When you finally decide that your life MUST change!

“Be strong enough to let go and wise enough to wait for what you deserve. Sometimes you have to get knocked down lower than you have ever been to stand up taller than you ever were before. Sometimes your eyes need to be washed by your tears so you can see the possibilities in front of you with a clearer vision again. Don’t settle.”

~Angel Chernoff

Would you agree there are times in life when we are dissatisfied and we know things need to change? We hear voices in our head say, “You need to be grateful for what you have and quit conjuring up all these big dreams! You can’t do this!”?

But the desire to change doesn’t go away. It remains in your head. I had this desire and it wasn’t going away! Life was busy (and it still is) but I felt like I was reacting to life and not designing my life. Don’t get me wrong, it’s impossible to design EVERY moment of your life, but it’s a different scenario when you are fully aware of what’s happening in your life and you decide to live with more intention about the important things in your life.

My life was CRAZY and stressful while working a full-time job, expanding a growing business with my mom, and running around three little kids (and somewhere in that mix, have a relationship with my wonderful husband and the Lord). I had also just finished two years of school to get my MBA. Having the third and final child made me realize how quickly life was speeding by with very little time to spend with my babies. I realized more and more that having a business and working from home meant flexibility to spend more time with my children while still being a professional. Having a business meant creating unlimited financial freedom in the future, instead of someone else determining my value. Having a business meant helping others create better life options and financial opportunities, like I wanted, which created purpose for my life. Fortunately, my mom and I decided in 2008 to start our own business to provide an additional income stream and just have fun sharing health and wellness products from a company we love. It was never with the intention that it could change the trajectory of my life, but I’m so glad it did.

In January of 2016, I realized that change must happen for things to get better, for peace to occur, for dreams to come true. And that’s the day I decided not to settle but to take a step and make a change. A few months later, I left my corporate job and began to create my own life. Now, I get to spend more quality time with my family, volunteer at their school, and participate in things like Bible studies (I don’t want to say how long it had been since I had done a Bible study).....things that add tremendous value to my life. YES, I am still crazy busy (what mom/professional isn’t?) but now I am the person I was created to be. The person that I dreamed of being in my head is becoming a reality, one day, one step at a time. And that one decision has made all the difference in my life!

Have you made big changes? How has it impacted your life? Please leave us a comment below. We appreciate your feedback!
